Claxton Walker & Associates, LLC was the first home inspection firm in the Mid-Atlantic.  Our founder, Claxton Walker, opened our doors in 1974.  Since then our inspectors have opened the doors, windows, ovens, furnaces, hatches, electric panels, and just about everything else on thousands of homes in the DC area to ensure that our clients get an honest, unbiased, and accurate assessment of their most important investment.  It was the practical experience of Claxton Walker and his associates that formed the basis upon which industry wide standards for home inspections were eventually developed.  We are proud to be founding members of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and to have served the inspection needs of buyers, sellers, and home owners in Maryland, DC, and Virginia for over 40 years.   Many things have changed in home building and real estate over the past four decades, but at Claxton Walker & Associates our goal has remained the same: providing you with the knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your new home.
